Recoloring a flower photo
Couldn’t sleep so I browsed my Lightroom albums and found this old photo of a flower. I decided to try different setting and this is what I came up with.
Hope you like it.

The Associated Press reports — The 8-year-old twins love their iPad. They draw, play games and expand their vocabulary. Their family’s teenagers like the hand-held computer tablets, too, but the clan’s elders show no interest.
The orangutans at Miami’s Jungle Island apparently are just like people when it comes to technology. The park is one of several zoos experimenting with computers and apes, letting its six orangutans use an iPad to communicate and as part of a mental stimulus program. Linda Jacobs, who oversees the program, hopes the devices will eventually help bridge the gap between humans and the endangered apes.

“Our young ones pick up on it. They understand it. It’s like, ‘Oh, I get this,’” Jacobs said. “Our two older ones, they just are not interested. I think they just figure, ‘I’ve gotten along just fine in this world without this communication-skill here and the iPad, and I don’t need a computer.’”
Erwin Tulfo said on their T3 show on TV5 that Santiago should expect he and his brothers to go after him. “Abangan mo ang bwelta ng Tulfo brothers,” he said.
He also said that Santiago’s wife, Claudine, will also feel the Tulfos’ wrath.
“Ipagdasal mo lang sana, ipapayo ko sa iyo at sa asawa mo, huwag ka munang lumabas ng bansa dahil kapag nagpangabot tayo sa NAIA Terminal 1, Terminal 2, Terminal 3, tatamaan at tatamaan ka, wala akong pakialam, pati asawa mo tatamaan sa amin. Ipagdasal mo na lamang huwag tayong magkrus ng landas,” he said.
I was eager to test my new 50mm lens but the rain poured. I took these photos while seated in front of our house shooting passersby.

Answer: Canon 50mm f/1.8
After my Canon 50mm f/1.8 broke more than a year ago, I have used it without the aide of AF and its aperture is constant at 1.8. Late last week I felt the urge to buy another one because I really miss shooting with a prime 50mm.
Why a Canon 50mm?
1. Fairly cheap.
2. Very light and doesn’t get much attention as oppose to a long zoom lens.
3. Fast!
4. Viewing an image with a 50mm is like looking at the scene when the picture was taken. Its field of vision is like the human eye.
5. Sharp images.
I searched for a used one.. Lo and behold! I found one at a bargain price of PHP2.7k. Grabbed my phone, contacted the seller and asked if the Canon 50mm is working properly, the glass is clean, how long was it used etc… After answering my queries and was satisfied with his answers( Plus his assurance),the deal was closed.
This morning I received the lens via courier and mounted it in my camera. So far… So good…
Will surely post more photos taken with my 50mm.
Meanwhile here a few photos of my new and old 50mm.

A brawl erupted at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (Naia) Terminal 3 over cell phone photos of an actress berating a ground stewardess of a budget airline.
Actor Raymart Santiago and at least six other men ganged up on Philippine Daily Inquirer columnist and radio host Ramon Tulfo on Sunday for taking photos of the formerâs wife, actress Claudine Barretto, according to Tulfoâs account.
Tulfo said he arrived at Naia 3 from Davao City on a Cebu Pacific flight when he noticed a woman giving the stewardess a dressing down.
âThe ground stewardess was on the verge of tears,â Tulfo told the Inquirer over the phone, recalling what caught his attention before the beating he received.
He said he initially sympathized with the woman after learning from onlookers that she had been complaining of âan off-loaded luggage,â which had been a subject of critical columns he wrote before.
He did not recognize the woman as Barretto until he walked toward the airlineâs complaints desk.Â
